Qatar Leg4/Honda: Second place for K.Benavides in the penultimate stage

The Qatar Rally produced its toughest day so far with extremely demanding navigation. Kevin Benavides finished second on the day, while Paulo Gonçalves still has options open in the upper-part of the overall table.

Troisième étape : Losail - Losail
Liaison : 88,48 km - Spéciale : 353,02 km - Liaison : 62,45 km - Total : 503,95 km

Le vent soufflait avec des rafales de plus de 50 km/h soulevant le sable sur la crête des dunes et dans les plaines, diminuant ainsi fortement la visibilité. Après une liaison de 88 km, le départ de la troisième Spéciale fut donné non loin de l’endroit où était localisé l’ancien bivouac, près du Sealine Resort.

Mixed emotions for X-raid in the start into the Qatar Cross Country Rally, the fourth round of the FIA Cross Country Rally World Cup. With the short super special stage and yesterday’s first long stage contested, Jakub Przygonski (POL) and Tom Colsoul (BEL) held the lead with their MINI ALL4 Racing, followed by Yazeed Al-Rajhi (KSA) / Timo Gottschalk (GER) in the MINI John Cooper Works Rally in second position.
